Happy Mother’s Day!
This is my 5th Mother’s Day and as I’ve been reflecting on being a mom to the two blessings that God has given me, I am amazed at how wonderful it is.
Tonight at dinner, a special dinner Walter prepared, the kids ran around the house (having ate earlier) and it was just the two of us. Walter had cooked wonderful Tri-tip and made a great salad, he lit a candle and dimmed the lights to the dining room. It was a great oasis in the middle of life. Walter asked me a question: What are the top three highlights of being a mom so far?

“…..a hug every morning and butterfly kisses at night”

Becca just learned how to give butterfly kisses, I think it’s just a girl thing because Ben at almost 5 still doesn’t “get” what one is, even Walter is not sure on the whole thing, but my Becca – she knows what they are all about. The other morning she woke up 5:00 in the morning (more…)
