WFMW- Saving Dinner

This is my second time doing WFMW and today what works for me is Saving Dinner Freezer Recipes . I have been using these for about a year and during this summer I slacked off and haven’t put away any freezer meals. Guess what I’m going to be doing this weekend? Yep! Restocking my freezer!
What I love about these are they are pretty inexpensive (the recipes) and most things my family will eat. There have been a few that haven’t passed the husband and kid test, they still ate it, but just didn’t want it again. I love that I don’t have to come up with something to cook for dinner, I just choose something to defrost and 3/4 of the work is done. I still get the enjoyment of cooking for my family.
We usually go shopping one day to get everything that we need and then spend the next day putting the kits together.
Go check out more great ideas over at Rocks In My Dryer.

Good tips! I need to start doing more of this, especially for winter when there isn’t so much fresh stuff to fix. I just re-started Flylady, I’ll have to go re-look at saving dinner

I love Saving Dinner too. Have you tried the Mega Mailers? They have helped so much for us in terms of saving money and having homecooked, healthy meals.

Great! I wish we have a bigger freezer. But alas!

This is such a great idea. Now if I would only get my act together and a bigger freezer…
