Heartbreaking..

I’m listening to Cinderella on my iPod right now.   Tears are in my eyes because I’m thinking of Steven Curtis Chapman and the great loss that he and his family are going through right now.   It brings back memories of a family that I knew back home who had a similar tragedy happen in their family 7 years ago this month.   After a great day as a family, the father got in the truck to run and get something for dinner.  Their youngest (around 2) ran out of the house to try to go with daddy, daddy didn’t see her and she was ran over by the truck.  I remember the mom saying something about how much trust God had put in them to handle this situation with God’s Grace.   Right away they put their faith in God.    My prayer is that the Chapman family is doing the same thing.   Our family’s prayers go out to their family, their church, their friends who’s hearts are breaking as reality sets in.

You’ve got to be kidding me!

Living in Northeastern California has its unique weather happenings.   Last weekend was stinkin’ hot!  We went from mild 70 degrees one day to into the 90’s the next then a few days later back to 70 degrees.   Today’s high is only supposed to be 59!!!  We might actually have to start another fire.   But what amazed me the most is when I was reading the report it said a chance of snow south of town!   I sometimes forget that on Memorial Day weekend we always have icky weather, but a chance of snow – give me a break!

I guess I’m off to pull out the scarfs, gloves and winter jackets to take Ben to school this morning!  Just kidding (kind of).
