Is it Friday yet?
I’m facing a very busy week, at least for me. I like it when I don’t have lots of “extra” stuff to do other than normal daily things. But this week is looking at being a killer week.
Monday: Get ready to be out of the house by 7:45. Pick up Jackson & Michelle’s kids to take to school. Drop Ben of at school, drive to the other kids school to drop off (about 5 miles out of town). Take Becca to different babysitter since Michelle has an appointment in Reno (about 15 miles out of town). Go to work and do 4 payrolls and try to work on billing!
Tuesday: Go to surgeon’s appointment in Redding (two hour trip). Appointment is at 10:00 or 10:30. Spend afternoon with my husband and then have another appointment with the nutritionist at 3:30. Come home, pick up kids and get them to bed.
Wednesday: Work, AWANA and Walter has a small group meeting at church. The one nice thing will be that after dropping the kids off at AWANA I will have the rest of the night to myself until it’s time to pick them up – Can I hear a YES!
Thursday: Work, women’s ministry meeting at church after work.
Friday – Most likely work – and enjoy an evening with nothing to do!

Mommy & Ben Date
This afternoon I had a date with my son. I wanted to see High School Musical 3 and since Ben and I have watched the other two at home I decided a date was in order. Who cares if we were surrounded by a bunch of little girls and their moms. Ben’s man card is still in action.
It touched my heart in one scene in the movie Troy is trying to decide what he’s going to do with the rest of his life. Oh how I remember being there during my senior year. As Troy is sing this song Ben leans over to me and says, “He just needs to trust Jesus.”
Son, please always remember that. There will be times as a youth, young adult and even as an adult you will wonder what you are going to do, are the choices you are making going to be right, will the consequences be ok or have far reaching effects to you or to those who love you. Trust in Jesus, son, trust in Him.

Oh where have I been?
Why I have been busy with work! It’s October and I forgot how busy it can be in a CPA office in October. It’s almost crazier than April 15th! October 15th is the deadline for filing your taxes for the prior year. We had a lot of people who didn’t get their stuff in by April 15th so their due date was October 15th. While I don’t do a lot with taxes, I do have other things that I do and boy does it keep me busy. I was used to hardly working and then BAM! like that I was working 4 to 5 days a week.
I was also gone last weekend. I went to a Women’s retreat in Lake Tahoe this past weekend. OH MY WORD did I need it. The speaker was wonderful. She was a little ol’ lady about 75 years young. She just made me laugh. I guess her maiden name was Church, her married name is Call. She told us all that she went from being a “Church girl to a Call girl.” It just made me laugh!
She just taught straight from the Bible – nothing fancy, but good none the less. Saturday afternoon was delightful as I hung out in our room and just relaxed. I can’t remember the last time I watched the clouds go by. The best part of the weekend? Not hearing “I have to go potty!” and having to stop what I’m doing to take Miss Becca. Come to think about it maybe the best part of the weekend was not having to watch Max and Ruby with Miss Becca.
This week is another busy one. Tomorrow afternoon Walter has a interview with the high school to coach Frosh Basketball. I really hope he gets this job. He enjoyed coaching when he taught in public school and I think it would be so much fun for the kids and I to go to games. He also has a meeting at church in the evening.
Wednesday the kids have AWANA.
On Thursday I’m watching my friends kids. For about an hour while she goes to the eye Dr. It will be me and 6 kids. I do believe that there will be even more grey hair that needs to be covered next week at my hair appointment. (And no, I didn’t type that wrong. 6 kids! YIKES!)
Friday – who knows!
Saturday – Men’s Breakfast for Walter, Ladies craft thing at church for me and then that evening Walter is teaching the lesson at Crossroads.
Church is on Sunday and maybe a bike ride if the weather holds out.
